Flutter Entertainment is a multi-national sports betting and gambling company who own many popular betting and gambling sites such as Paddy Power and Betfair.
What happened in the Flutter data breach?
Flutter Entertainment PLC experienced a significant cybersecurity incident in July 2025. Hackers accessed the data of up to 800,000 customers across the UK including usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, contact details and recent activity on the platform.
Paddy Power and Betfair contacted affected customers to alert them of the incident, providing some online safety advice.
What has Flutter said about the breach?
In their email to affected customers, Flutter stated that: “There is nothing you need to do in response to this incident, however we recommend you remain vigilant.”
A spokesperson for Flutter later gave the following statement: “Our investigation concluded that the affected information was isolated to limited betting account information. No passwords, ID documents or usable card or payment details were impacted. We are informing all affected customers.”
